HINTS AND TIPS

Valuable hints and tips can often make the difference between success and failure in creating a piece of calligraphy.

Every calligrapher at some time or another runs into a problem or an opportunity and doesn’t quite know how to deal with it. Many solutions are found in the excellent books that our calligrapher/authors have produced over the years. But, there will always be some unique method, some obscure tool, some art material, or some device that has been found to do just what you need for a particular project.

A few of these ideas are provided on a rotating basis for all calligraphers whether or not they are ACA members. However, the larger body of information in Hints and Tips will be available to all ACA members at no charge and to non members for a small fee.

We encourage you to dig deep into your bag of tricks and send us your hints and tips on how to “make a silk purse out of a sows ear” when a calligrapher comes across and unsolvable problem.
